Susceptibility for occurring landslides of the soils and rocks of the province of Manabí and the incidence of the anthropic action in the cases in which landslides had taken placed. Aguirre Herrera , María Verónica*,1, 1 University is the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral in Guayaquil, Ecuador ABSTRACT- Objectives: Be able to do the assessment of the susceptibility for occurring landslides in the Province of Manabi, in order to prevent new disasters. Establish the relationship between the anthropic actions and these movements of masses Hhpothesis: There is a relationship between the anthropic actions and these movements of masses. There are typical and frequent landslides that can be described and grouped. Approach It is considered seven sectors like the most representative in the zone due to the great quantity of registered movements of masses. These are: Alajuela, Canton Sucre, Jipijapa, Manta, Montecristi, Portoviejo and Port López. In first place and based on carried out studies (geology, hydrology, geohydrology, geotechnique) there are characterized the geologic formations. There are identified and evaluated the properties and physical characteristics of the surfaces and slopes which constitute the morphology of the studied sectors. Based on all the obtained information and all the analysis done, the thesis is a contribution to evaluate the tendencies of the studied lands to destabilize by landslides. Conclusions Based on all the obtained information and all the analysis done, the thesis is a contribution to evaluate the tendencies of the studied lands to destabilize by landslides, so new disasters could be prevented.
