(S20-) Bioinformatics: Tools for the 21st Century.
Amundson, Sally*,1, 1 National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, MD
ABSTRACT- Recent advances in database and information management are impacting all areas of biological science. Making the best possible use of these new tools will accelerate understanding in diverse fields. This symposium will attempt to provide an overview of some of these developments, beyond basic sequence and protein analysis, to the use of neural networks in the analysis of large data sets, and the specific application of bioinformatic techniques to the study of ionizing radiation response.
