Romania, one of the ten Central and East European Countries that are involved in the process of EU accession has a transition economy, in which problems of industrial pollution are increasingly replaced by the pollution from traffic. This study is trying to use the LCA technique in order to compare the environmental performances of some vehicle fuels used in Romania. The fuels that are analyzed in the study are: gasoline, diesel fuel and LPG. The LCA study uses the methodology developed in the ISO 14040 family standards in order to achieve the environmental profiles of these fuels. Key words: fuels, gasoline, Diesel fuel, LPG |
