(382) Pesticide risk assessment in Europe - current position and future developments. Hardy, Anthony1, 1 ABSTRACT- Current features of the harmonised risk assessment of pesticides in Europe under 91/414/EEC will be outlined. The specific role of the EC Scientific Committee on Plants, which advises the Commission on unresolved scientific issues raised at the community level, will be reviewed in context. Future developments include the establishment of the proposed European Food Authority in 2002 and a forward projection will be made of the likely progress and development of regulatory pesticide risk assessment.
