ABSTRACT- Examples for the new emerging effect parameter immunotoxicity (phagocytosis) in the context of biotoxins (domoic acid and saxitoxin) is demonstrated by exposured organisms in coastal areas and iduced mussels under controlled conditions by sediment exposure. Two examples are given by an in vivo saxotoxin sample and by domoic acid. The field exposed mussels were stimulated by phorbol myristate acetate (PMA).
