ABSTRACT- Traditional ecotoxicolgy studies have looked at reproduction and mortality as endpoints at low population densities. Methods have been developed to incorporate the effects of density dependence, in the regions at and around carrying capacity, on life history characteristics and population growth rate of Folsomia candida (Collembola:Isotomidae).

Key words: density-dependence, Folsomia candida, Collembola, ecotoxicology
