ABSTRACT- The purpose of this project has been the analysis of industrial reality in a territory where the activities are in elevated number, variable size and different process of production. Moreover, the industrial area has had a great expansion until arriving near to residential zone. The knowing and managing the evolution of the industrial field assures the security of the territory and population. A database allows to estimate the impact that every industry has on the environment, gathering and managing information about the factory and its productive processes, about dangerous raw materials, intermediate and present products, about atmospheric emissions, waste water and solid waste management. Particular emphasis have been given to hazardous substances that are present in the industry: for these, data about the international classification, chemical-physical properties, ecotossicology and tossicology has been collected. From union of this information is possible create some indices to evaluate the hazard and the impact of the productive activities. This database can be used to support territorial planning and programming, and suppling the basis to realize emergency's plan. With the information extracts from the database have been simulated accident scenarios (by G.I.S. software). However, one of the most important applications of this project is the creation of an information archive for the intervention team in the case an industrial activity causes a dangerous event for population.
