ABSTRACT- Introduction: This study examines the results obtained from the quantitative evaluation of Agarimos, a coeducational program aimed at fostering the psychological, emotional, and sexual development of preteens and teenagers (aged 12 to 16). Methodology: This program was implemented in several clases of 15 to 16 ear olds in their fourth year of compulsory secondary school education in Spain during the 2002 2003 academic year. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of Agarimos, a control group was selected which had the same characteristics as the experimental group age and grade level and the same questionnaires were administered to both groups. The measures selected were questionnaires on selfesteem (Rosenberg, 1965), selfconcept (AFA; Musitu, Garcia and Gutierrez, 1991), eating habits (EAT 26; A Zarima Group Prevention, 1999), sex role ideology (EIRS; Moya, Gomez, and Navas 1991), knowledge about the use of the male condom, and risk perception (the latter two adapted from Ubillos, 1995). Results: The data obtained reveals that after carrying out the program, there were significant differences for two of the variables examined sex role ideology and eating (habits) when comparing the experimental and control groups. Conclusion: This research confirms the positive effect that the Agarimos program has on sexual attitudes and the development of healthy eating habits among teenagers
