The pill for men: an attitude research of 371 Flemish man and women.

ABSTRACT- Introduction and objectives What is the attitude of people towards the contraceptive for pill for males? Design, methods and results With a questionnaire 371 Flemish men and women were inquired about their attitude towards the future male contraceptive pill. 27,5 % of the respondents claim to make use of the male hormonal pill in the future, 33,8% claim not to do that. The largest group 38,7 % chooses for the alternative 'maybe'. There were no significant differences found by gender and age group. Lower educated people have a more positive attitude towards the male pill than higher educated people.The attitiude of the partner influences the own attitude towards the pill. Respondents who have a downright opinion about the delivery method of the male pill have a more positive attitude towards it. Conclusions It seems that people have mixed feelings about a contraceptive pill for men.
