Attitudes Towards Sexuality and First Control Birth Method.

ABSTRACT- OBJECTIVES: To know the relation between the attitudes towards sexuality and the first protector method used. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Descriptive transversal study with a diana population of universitaries students, of 1st, 3rd and 5th/6th course, of University of Vigo, thanks to plan of investigation conceded for aforementioned university. All made a structured, voluntary and anonimous questionnaire (NHSLS). We dis the data analysis with SPSS 11/Windows. RESULTS: The half age is 20,72 years old (SD=2,61) and the 59.4% is woman. The 23,5% studied in Ourense, the 64.4% in Vigo and the 12,1% in Pontevedra. The 48,2% of the sample started the intercourse at the half age of 18,24 years old (SD=2,0). There is significative association between the attitudes towards sexuality and the first protector method used (X2=16,108; p=.013). There is not significative association between the attitudes towards sexuality and the others contraceptive variables investigated. CONCLUSION: Scarcely there is significative association between the attitudes towards sexuality and the first protector method used.
