Sexualidadonline.com, Sexual education and health portal for Mexico and Latin America. Hernandez, Belinda1, Llanes, Oralia1, Ortega, Santa*,2, Ramirez, Carlos2, 1 Sexologia Educativa Integral A.C., Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico2 Grupo de Estudios Avanzados en Psicología, Sexología y Ciencias Sociales, Distrito Federal, Mexico, Mexico ABSTRACT- Sexualidadonline was born as a journalism project for the diffusion of human sexuality themes in a digital format, out of the realization that sex is the most sought out word in the Internet. Internet advantages: low production cost, presence all year long and anonymity when researching for information or asking a question to the sexologist, an important feature considering the fact that most people in our Mexican culture consider a problem talking openly about sexual matters. The web page was launch on July of 2003, with support from the Nuevo Leon Aids Prevention State Counsel. We have received valuable collaborations from important Mexican sexologists, as well as from a large number of journalists and plastic artists who have offered their knowledge freely in collaborating with a gender perspective project oriented to support sexual health. After more than a year we have registered close to thirty five thousand visits and have crossed not only the state boundaries, but also the international ones. At the moment, we receive visits from the entire Mexican Republic and from other Spanish speaking countries like Chile, Venezuela, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, countries that lack from sexual education programs too. Sexualidadonline.com counts with more than a hundred articles about the physical, psychological and social aspects of the human sexuality. It also includes a data base, links to other associations that help people with Aids, scientific investigations, regular columns like Pregunta al sexolog@ y Espacio VIH-TAL -Ask the sexologist and Vital Space- and a couple of special publications, one oriented to younger people and the other to women. This space, formed by the committed work of a large number of professionals, is part of an important effort to display human sexuality in all its dimensions, recognizing in every user his right to access a myth-free sexual education.
