Communication and Sexual Attitudes with Health Professionals (GASS-AP) 2003-2005.

ABSTRACT- The GASS-AP (Supporting Group for Sexual Health in Primary Health Care) was created on the intiative of primary health care doctors, concerned with care improvement for patients with "sexual malfunction" in the Spanish public health care system, and with encouraging professionals to work on their patients' sexuality. The structure of the GASS-AP includes various specialists in sexual health sexologists, andrologists, urologists for a multidisciplinar approach. The project starts with two meetings of the strategic core, the operative core, and local references, and with some conferences on sexual health in 2004. Some 900 primary health care doctors from all over Spain are involved, which is the entryway for patients with sexual problems into the national health care system. Continuity and financial support for the training of these professionals are in cooperation with the biomedical company of Pfizer through a technical office www.gass-ap.com training courses, discussion meetings, articles on sexual health, and so on. We are now presenting the course: "Communication and Attitudes at the Interview with the Sexologist" with the purpose of giving a training tool designed to improve doctor/patient communication in sexual health matter
